Doctors examine more than 1.6 thousand people after earthquake in Osh region

A medical team consisting of 12 doctors has examined 1,656 people from 18 to 22 November after the earthquake occurred in Osh region of Kyrgyzstan last week, the press service of the Ministry of Health said.

In total, three patients were hospitalized to medical institutions of Kara-Suu district, and ten more – to the Alai Territorial Hospital.

“The medical team provides methodical and practical assistance to their colleagues in the districts. Medicines have been distributed among the patients. Several of them have been sent to territorial or regional medical facilities for further examination and treatment,” says the message.

Medical care has been provided free of charge. Mobile clinic possessing ultrasound machine and other equipment receives patients in Kara-Suu and Uzgen districts of Osh region.
